What should I expect when I learn TF-CBT from you?

We will practice what we preach in training - having fun while doing the work. You'll feel safe asking the questions you're afraid to ask. Don't expect to passively take in knowledge; I'm all about building your clinical skills.

National Certification and
NCA's Mental Health Standard
This training prepares clinicians to seek national certification in TF-CBT. Ashley Fiore is a developer endorsed, national trainer in TF-CBT. See additional certification requirements by clicking "Learn About TF-CBT" above.
This course and all 12 60-minute consultation calls count toward the Mental Health Accreditation Standard requirement of 40 hours in an evidence-based treatment.
Clinicians attending all training and consultation may earn up to 25.5 credits toward the 40-hour requirement from this course and associated consultation.

Ashley Fiore, LCSW, PLLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 8098. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Ashley Fiore, LCSW, PLLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), ASWB Course ID 6594, is approved by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program to be offered by Social Work World as an individual course. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE course approval period 1/8/2026-1/8/2028. Social workers completing this course receive 13.5 clinical credits.
What is expected of me?
Who should attend training?
This training is appropriate for master’s level clinicians and above, but students who are working on their master’s degrees and are interns working under the supervision of a licensed professional also may attend. Trainees should have an active caseload where they can apply the model to at least 2-3 child clients who are impacted by trauma.
Required Pre-requisites
TF-CBT Web 2.0; this requires 11 hours and carries a separate fee of $35 to be paid to the Medical University of South Carolina MUSC website. Click here: TF-CBT Web 2.0 Pre-Requisite.
12 Group Consultation Calls - Included with Registration
Consultation is my favorite part of training! It's where you will put the model into practice with your own cases. 95% of my trainees complete this phase - you must participate in at least 9 of 12 calls to be able to apply for national certification.
We'll meet via Zoom approximately biweekly, answer your questions and have plenty of opportunities for everyone to staff their cases and practice the skills. Each learner will present their own TF-CBT cases twice during consultation and the group will help you plan next steps.
