TF-CBT with Young Children: They're Small but Mighty!

REQUIRED PREREQUISITE:

Successful completion of basic TF-CBT Training and consultation with a developer-endosed national TF-CBT trainer, or national certification as a TF-CBT clinician. This certificate must be provided to register.

We approach this enhancement of TF-CBT differently. Days 1 and 2 build the clinical foundation first: rethinking sexually reactive behaviors symptomatically, standardized trauma screening and assessment, conducting a structured sexual developmental history with the child and caregiver, case conceptualization, collaborative safety planning, and engaging caregivers in denial or dissent, clarification and reunification work. Then we apply the TF-CBT PRACTICE framework so you understand how to do that through an individualized lens. You won't need extensive PSB training after this - build on what you already know and find success.
